Websites hosted with us are able to benefit from a "Referrer Log". This vital report gives detailed information about how extensively your website is listed by the search engines (Yahoo, Google, Lycos and so on...).

A newly launched website will require a carefully planned and methodically executed programme of search engine registration on an ongoing basis. Our activities on other clients sites has demonstrated the benefits of using a specialist in this area - although it is possible for anyone to add a website to a search engine (and some of our customers do it themselves), with most search engines indexing over ten billion websites, it's easy to be overlooked or simply ignored by them, if you're not au fait with the latest tricks and tactics.

For existing websites which we take under our wing, upon moving to our hosting service, some of our clients are disturbed to see that their website receives less than 10 visits a day. (In many cases, either their previous hosting provider didn't generate a Referrer report, or no-one explained the importance of careful registration and monitoring the results. Also, their previous website designer may have used techniques which interfere with the way search engines work and prevent them listing the site effectively.

Unfortunately, getting a good listing on the search engines can take many months; this is another reason why we use a specialist agency for this (we have several services at different price points). Basically, there is no time to lose!
